A homeowners policy is written for a house, not a farming operation. Barns, shops, equipment, livestock, stored crops, and the liability that comes with hired help or selling product are often limited or excluded. Nationwide's AgriChoice and CountryChoice policies are built to cover those exposures along with the farm home. If you run equipment, keep livestock, or sell anything you grow, have us look at your operation before you assume your homeowners policy has it handled.

Yes. Nationwide has been the official insurance provider of the California Farm Bureau since 1999, and members get a discount on Nationwide farm insurance. Separately, Nationwide offers savings of up to 20% when you bundle home and auto, whether or not you are a member. For farms that end up on the state's last-resort program, and facing this year's rate increase, Nationwide offers Difference in Conditions coverage to eligible current and past customers, which fills in protection for farm homes, buildings, and equipment.
